Since 2006, the UTAS School of Nursing and Midwifery has offered the highly regarded Bachelor of Nursing in partnership with St Vincents and Mater Health Sydney. This partnership is the culmination of a shared vision that students need a quality education and at the same time, a sense of belonging in healthcare agencies where they undertake clinical practice.

For this reason, UTAS teaches the entire course at SV&MHS. This approach allows for industry based learning to be carried out at a centre of excellence that covers a wide spectrum of healthcare provision in both public and private sectors.

Six semesters over two years
The course is unique in New South Wales and runs for six semesters over two years to enable students to accelerate their nursing degrees. Two summer semesters are utilised for study. Teaching is delivered by highly qualified academic staff supported by experienced, practicing clinicians.
