Our mission is to bring the healing ministry of Christ to all we serve, continuing the ministries of the Sisters of Charity and the Sisters of Mercy. Mission describes the reason for our existence and gives expression to that which is important to us as a Catholic health care provider.
Our vision
To serve the community through excellence in care, teaching and research in both public and private health and aged care services, and to reach out to the poor and marginalised. In doing so, we maintain our fundamental respect for the skills and talents of our staff and our profound respect for the humanity of every individual patient.
The Mission and Values of St Vincents & Mater Health Sydney (SV&MHS) are central to who we are. They provide inspiration, guide us in our decision making and translate into every aspect of our work and activity.
Guided by our values of compassion, justice, dignity, excellence, unity, mercy, hospitality and respect we continue to strive to uphold the vision and principles of our founders and their unique tradition of nursing care.
