St Joseph's Village is open to anyone over the age of 55 years who is seeking security and, at the same time, an independent way of life.

The facility has a significant role in providing a continuum of care to elderly residents within the Auburn community.

The facility is part of the residential aged care services provided by the Sisters of Charity Health Service and works collaboratively with St Joseph’s Hospital. It was integrated with St Vincent's & Mater Health Sydney (SV&MHS) along with St Joseph's Hospital in 2005.

St Joseph's Village has embraced the Commonwealth Department of Health and Aging policy for Aging Australia. A particular focus for the facility has been the development of strategies to support this policy to ensure St Joseph's Village is able to support and maintain residents as they age.

It is committed to the provision of the best possible care, based on respect for each person and in accordance with the philosophy, and the values of the Sisters of Charity Health Service.
